A skill is a folder of instructions Claude loads on demand to do a specific job well. I’ve built a number of them for my own design work, and a few are general enough to be worth sharing.
So I put them in a public repo. Right now it holds five:
- product-design-engineer — a senior product-designer + front-end engineer persona for SaaS work.
- ux-copy — writing, evaluating, and improving interface copy and microcopy.
- experience-spec — turning a Figma file or a code prototype into an engineering-ready build spec.
- design-qa — comparing a running build against its Figma design and reporting where the two have drifted.
- prototype — building throwaway code to answer a design question, as a terminal app or a set of switchable UI variations.
They started as personal tools, so they carry my opinions — treat them as starting points and make them your own.
